A Christmas Surprise

I went to the grocery store yesterday to pick up a few things that we needed for dinner. When I pulled into the drive way there was Jason with Mackenzie in his arms and who was he talking to????? Santa Claus. That's right...Santa was at my door and his red corvette was parked outside. He was actually at the wrong house...he was supposed to be at my neighbors house but what a great treat! We went over there later and Mac had her picture taken for the third time with Santa. (We had been to the mall the day before and had it done there as well.)

I can't beleive it is already Christmas time! This year has flown by. We have had many trying times but also a wonderful one....little Mackenzie. She amazes me everyday. She totally has Jason and I wrapped around her tiny fingers.

First Days at home

We only had to stay at the hospital for one night...but it seemed like so much longer. We were just so ready to get our precious girl home. We ended up coming home on the 11th (Jason's birthday) in the evening. We are slowly but surely settling into a routine. She seems to have her days and nights confused but other than that she is a wonderful baby who hardly ever cries and is very content. Here are some pics of her first week at home.

Mackenzie Addison Has Arrived!

Mackenzie was born today 11/10/09 at 3:05 pm. She weighed 7.06 lbs and was 19 inches long! She is adorable!

3D/4D Sonogram October

Well, we went on Saturday to have our second 3D/4D Sonogram. It was at 10:30 in Arlington, so it was an early morning for everyone. Jason's Mom, James, Dad, TJ, Lisa, and Dirk all met us over there and we went to pick up my grandmother so she could see it as well.

Mackenzie must have been really tired because she pretty much slept through all of it. She also had one of her hands up in front of her face so the pictures aren't as clear as we had hoped but I think she is still adorable.

Mackenzie's room is a work in progress, but this is what it looks like so far. Jason and I are thinking that she has way more stuff than we do and we need to change bedrooms with her!

Bandera Baby Shower

The Baby Shower in Bandera was so much fun. We had just enough people! I loved every minute of it. I was totally spoiled with all of the wonderful gifts and I really enjoyed seeing people that I hadn't seen in a very long time. They even made me a baby scrap book instead of playing all those crazy games. It was wonderful.

7th Month Picture

First Day of School

Well, Mac and I headed off to school yesterday. It was a great day but it was exhausting! I was glad to get home and take my shoes off and lay on the couch.

3D/4D Sonogram Pics

We just went today for our 3D/4D sonogram. It was amazing and we got lots of neat pictures and a DVD. They even had a stuffed animal where they recorded her heartbeat....which we had to have!!! The Sonogram person said everything looked really good and that was wonderful news to hear! Mackenzie looks very lady like in her pictures....she is already ALL girl!

6 Months Pregnant

Last night we went to a friend's wedding and took this pic before we left. This is my 6th month pregnancy pic.

The Room

We still aren't anywhere near being done with the room but here is what we have so far. Jason painted the one wall pink to match the bedding and we went ahead and decorated with a few things.

We searched and searched and finally found a bedding set that we liked. Either they were too busy or not the right colors....but we really like this set. Linda and James have already begun to spoil our little girl because they got it for us!!! How awesome are they????

Another New Addition

Well, last night we went to test drive a car and ended up getting it. It is a 2008 Lexus RX. It was bitter sweet because I loved the Rover but it was time. We love the new car and are still learning about all the neat and exciting things that it can do.

Well....it's official!!!

We went to the doctor yesterday and had our ultrasound and found out that we are having.......A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are super excited and can't wait to start looking at names! We are in Bandera right now and on the long ride home we are going through a HUGE baby name book. Wish us luck!!!! Pictures to come later!

Baby Furniture

We got the baby's room cleaned out and ready for the furniture to be moved in! Jason put the furniture together and we are loving how cute it looks already. My dad and Patty were super sweet to us and purchased the crib and dresser. We looked all around and just fell in love with the way that this set looked. We actually found the bookcase at CostCo. and it all just seemed to come together!

In the Beginning

Jason and I are so excited about our pregnancy! We know that our families are as well but with everyone so spread out we figured that this blog would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated and “in the loop.” These pictures are the first look at our little one. We go in two weeks to find out if we need to decorate with pink or blue. We could have found out over a month ago but as you can see in the picture the legs are crossed….go figure!
